For a lot of people, taking part in science experiments ends after their last school science fair. But, there are people working to change that.

One of them is Darlene Cavalier, a professor of practice at ASU's Center for Engagement and Training in Science and Society and the founder of the websites Science Cheerleader and SciStarter, which help facilitate citizen science research projects.

One of the groups Cavalier mentioned is Public Lab and Gretchen Gehrke is data ambassador of the group, based in Cambridge, Mass.
