Two thousand sixteen was a really tough year for many people. So as 2017 gets under way, we wanted to take a minute to celebrate a few things we loved from last year, in a series called “My Favorite Things.”

We spoke with Kimber Lanning, founder and executive director of Local First Arizona, an organization that supports and promotes local businesses. Lanning has her hands in lots of projects and is known as a mover and shaker in the Valley.

She spoke about what she thinks the Valley and the state are doing really well right now, as well as some wishes for the New Year.
