Report: Young Black Women Subject To Number Of Stereotypes

We recently featured a segment on The Show about the status of black women in the United States and the challenges they face. Now, a new report by the Georgetown Law Center on Poverty and Inequality focuses on black girls.

Like their older counterparts, these young women are subject to a number of stereotypes. In particular, researchers found that black girls are seen as older than they are, and they suffer for it.

The Show’s Lauren Gilger spoke with Rebecca Epstein, the lead author of the study, more about this.
