Researcher Working To Further Connection Between AI, Cognitive Science

Artificial intelligence — despite its sci-fi connections and worrisome connotations — is becoming more common, and researchers are increasing the emphasis they put on it in potentially real-world situations.

But earlier this week, tech entrepreneur and Tesla founder Elon Musk told the National Governors Association that AI is “the biggest risk we face as a civilization.” And he wants proactive regulation put into place.

To learn more, we talked with Blake Richards of the University of Toronto. He’s working on furthering the connection between artificial intelligence and cognitive science.
