The first-ever Mariachi Opera comes to the Valley this weekend, as Arizona Opera presents "Cruzar la Cara de la Luna," or "To Cross the Face of the Moon."

It tells the story of Laurentino, a man who comes to America as part of the bracero program in the 1960s.

We talked with Cecilia Duarte, who plays Laurentino’s wife Renata.
