The 2014 wildfire season was calm in Arizona, relatively speaking. 200,000 acres of grassland and forest burned, but prescribed burns also may help limit the outburst of catastrophic fires. Why is it so important to keep Arizona’s forests healthy and what’s being done to make that condition more likely?

We spoke with Bruce Hallin, director of water rights and contracts for SRP and Rob Davis, owner of Forest Energy Corporation about this week’s Healthy Forests, Vibrant Economy conference.
