Now we’re going to check in with the Editorial Board of The Arizona Republic. It’s a regular segment where we talk about the big issues facing the state and the region — featured in the newspaper’s Viewpoints section.

Debate over gun control and gun rights has been front and center since the shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School earlier this month.

In an opinion piece over the weekend, the newspaper called out groups who are part of the gun problem.

The headline says, "You’re part of the gun problem if …" and went on to discuss those who think NRA contributions alone have turned politicians into sheep who won’t support gun control, and those who think that only stricter gun control laws can stop mass shootings, among others.
