Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery is trying to take control of police records, which are currently public record according to state law.

This information comes from a letter from the county attorney obtained by the Arizona Republic. It raises a number of questions about how and why records could be withheld and what sort of obligation police departments have to comply.

Jason Pohl, the Arizona Republic reporter who helped break the story, joined The Show to talk about it.
