Sen. Lindsey Graham

A close friend of Sen. John McCain says he continues to show slow signs of improvement.

Speaking on NBC’s "Today Show" last week, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham said he plans to visit McCain here in Arizona again soon.

"He was doing really good on the phone yesterday- good days, bad days," Graham said. "We had a great time together watching a movie. I was worried about John out of the hospital. Now he’s a little stronger.”

Graham said every day is a blessing to McCain and those around him. A documentary about McCain’s life debuts on HBO early Monday evening.
