Phoenix Protest Will Call President Obama To Act On Immigration Reform

President Barack Obama continues to say he will take executive action to limit deportations of undocumented immigrants as part of his effort to reform the U.S. immigration system.

But with the results of last week’s election putting republicans in charge of the house and senate, many political leaders are warning the president against acting, believing it could hurt the chances of more comprehensive reform.

Thursday afternoon, a protest will be held in front of the immigration and customs enforcement office in Phoenix calling for the president to act.

We talked to Francisca Porchas, an organizer with Puente Arizona.
