The city of Phoenix will soon ask for ideas to redevelop a midcentury building just east of downtown.

The First National Bank of Arizona building on 24th Street, between Washington and Jefferson is empty now and a chain link fence is up around it to keep people out.

But, Alison King sees great potential for the building. She’s with ModernPhoenix.net and recently spoke with The Show to talk about the significance of the building and the potential it might carry.

The city expects to issue its Request for Proposal for the building later this month.
