Desert bighorn sheep.

Arizona Game and Fish released more bighorn sheep into the Catalina Mountains north of Tucson this morning.

This is the second release of the sheep in the area. Game and FIsh officials released 31 bighorn sheep last year, 17 of them are now dead.

Jim DeVos is the Director of Wildlife with the Arizona Game and Fish Department and said the agency’s work on species release and reintroduction is guided by a long-term plan.
