It's been revealed that there are more than 14,000 undocumented immigrant children in federal U.S. custody.

It’s the first time the figure has reached that level, and the number is expected to continue to rise.

Tal Kopan, Washington correspondent for The San Francisco Chronicle, is the reporter who learned about those official numbers.
