Is White Christian America In Decline?
The idea that white Christian Americans are moving toward being extinct or even endangered is a dramatic one. And at this point at least, it’s hyperbolic and unlikely.
But new numbers from the Public Religion Research Institute indicate the drop is real. Over the past decade, the number of white Americans who identify as Christians has dropped from 54 to 42 percent.
Robert P. Jones is CEO of the Public Religion Research Institute and author of "The End of White Christian America," and he joined The Show to talk about the data and trends.
