The Arc of Arizona, a disability advocacy group, will host its 4th annual film festival Friday featuring actors with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Billy Parker is the executive director of the Chandler/Gilbert Arc. He produced the film “Tuf” about a young man with Down syndrome and his desire to become a team roping champion.

"There’s literally no better way in my opinion to get the word out to the communities about the amazing talents and interest that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities can have," said Parker.

Parker says every film features characters with an intellectual or developmental disability, or in the case of a documentary like “Tuf,” is about a person with such a disability.  The festival will showcase 30 films.

Festival screenings are at 9:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5. Tickets are on sale at arcarizona.org.
