Debate Rages Around A Proposed Tucson 'Bike Ranch' Near Saguaro National Park
There is a debate raging in Tucson around 20 acres of land across the street from the Saguaro National Park that developers want to turn into a “bike ranch.”
Last week, more than 200 people crowded a Pima County hearing about the development to oppose it, but it could be moving forward anyway.
This isn’t the first time this debate has happened, though, according to Joe Ferguson, who’s been covering this for the Arizona Daily Star. Five years ago, the same developers proposed a similar plan, but it was rejected.
Ferguson joined The Show to talk about what’s happening.
