The Arizona State Library will award more than $675,000 in grant money to 53 libraries across the state. The money comes from the federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) and is used to support library services in all 50 states.

Jaime Ball is with the Arizona State Library.

"The money enables them to provide resources they otherwise couldn’t and often innovative projects are made possible with LSTA funds."

For example, Ball says the city of Douglas in southern Arizona will use their grant money to provide Wi-Fi outside library walls. And in Buckeye, the money will be used to create five pop-up eBook libraries using dedicated hotspot devices.
