With Burton Barr Closure, What Will Happen To Library Programs?

The Burton Barr Central Library isn’t expected to reopen until next summer. The yearlong closure is a result of strong winds that lifted the roof, releasing dust that set off the sprinkler system.

While engineers and city officials sort out the mechanics of repairing the library, what happens to the programs the library offers and how does this impact the other branches?

We’re posing these questions to Lee Franklin, community relations manager for the Phoenix Public Library who joins us in studio.
