According to his parents, Tom Maxedon III was found at birth on New Smyrna Beach, Florida, which is somewhat appropriate as he joined the KJZZ staff in September 2017, coming from the island of Guam in the Western Pacific, where he was news director for KPRG, Public Radio Guam.

Tom is the weekend morning host and a news reporter for KJZZ. He is a second-generation broadcaster with a wide vocational background in media, telecommunications and education.

He is a 1996 graduate of Ball State University with a master's degree in English and is an avid poet.
