The city of Mesa is asking residents to help shape the next wave of transportation projects.

“We want people to log on to a website and give us some feedback, you know, good, bad or ugly about how they feel about transportation in the city of Mesa and what we can do to be better at that,” Mayor John Giles said.

The Mesa Moves survey will be available online through the end of September.

The survey has seven questions including:

  • Assuming safety is your No. 1 priority, which of the following is the most important transportation initiative?
  • Which of the following is most important to you during your weekly commute?
  • What do you dislike most about Mesa's current transportation system?

Mesa will also hold community meetings in the fall to collect more information about people’s transportation needs.

“All of us everyday use our streets and our roads and our bike paths and our pedestrian paths,” Giles said.  “This is one of the essential services that you’re paying for with your city tax dollars.”
