Firefighters from three Valley fire departments are battling a large brush fire right now in north Phoenix.

Phoenix, Daisy Mountain and Peoria fire departments as well as Bureau of Land Management crews are fighting the fire in 110 degree weather.

A Phoenix Fire department spokesman said approximately 50 fire units and nearly 100 firefighters are battling the brush fire near Seventh Street and Desert Hills Drive. 

Approximately 60 acres have been burned. No structures are threatened by the fire at this time and there have been no injuries reported.

It’s unknown how the fire started.
