The Arizona Board of Regents has announced a new policy to grant in-state tuition to students who are enrolled members of one of Arizona’s federally-recognized Native American tribes. The modified policy goes into effect in the spring semester of 2014 at the state’s three public universities.

Regent Luann Leonard is executive director of the Hopi Education Endowment Fund.
