What Can Be Done To Stop Human Rights Abuses Around The World?

The civil war in Syria continues, pushing millions of residents out of the country into lives as refugees.

Human rights concerns are evident in places like South Sudan, Afghanistan and China — among many other locations.

Efforts have been undertaken to try to stop those abuses, but how much improvement has actually occurred? And what can really been done to have a true impact?

Simon Adams, executive director of the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect, was recently a guest instructor at Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University.

The Show spoke with him about the organization’s mission.
