Get ready for delays on the U.S. 60 next week. 

The section located 65 miles east of Phoenix will close several times next week for a blasting operation. The Arizona Department of Transportation says the closures are part of an improvement project to build a new passing lane and widen roadway shoulders.

Closures will take place near Superior on January 5th, 6th and 7th. Drivers should plan for delays.
