You can see autonomous vehicles being tested on Phoenix-area roadways, and more are expected to be on the roads in the coming months. But, what are the safety guidelines for those cars?

It turns out, there really aren’t any. To try to fix that, the RAND Corporation set out to come up with a framework for measuring safety in autonomous vehicles.

To talk about that effort, The Show spoke with Marjorie Blumenthal, a senior policy analyst and director of the Science, Technology and Policy Program at RAND.
