The Arizona Department of Transportation is telling drivers to take it slow during the morning commute. Wet roads, plus extra traffic stemming from the Super Bowl and other events, means traffic will be heavier than usual.

But the Valley isn’t the only part of the state experiencing wet driving conditions.

"This is a fairly warm system that’s in the state right now. But we still are expecting snow at some higher elevations, so we’ve got ADOT crews and snow plows out where necessary to check for ice and to treat those roads and plow them as needed," said ADOT spokesman Garin Groff.

Groff says there have also been reports of heavy fog across parts of the state.
